Care home marketing is one of the earliest specialisms I added to my CV. Having had the chance to work in care home management, I witnessed first hand the challenges and opportunities in the industry.
I have even conducted my own research into how stakeholders interact with care home marketing, and gained valuable insights on how key decision makers value and choose care homes. This is, as far as I know, the only research of this type in the UK, and gives me a very solid guideline on how to approach all aspects of care home marketing.
Over the years, I helped brands sell cocktail shakers, photo frames, wedding veils or armchairs. Having such a varied background taught me there are endless avenues to pursue sales online, and I had the chance to do it all.
I worked with start-ups, as well as established businesses with multi-million pounds annual revenue, covering everything all aspects of digital marketing : SEO, PPC, Email Marketing, Social Media, Affiliate Marketing, Etsy, CRO etc.
From my experience in B2C ecommerce, I learned there is no unique recipe for success. Engaging the audience on the right channels is the only way to achieve ROI. Social media , PPC or SEO will not all work for all client. Without a bespoke, data-led strategy (or an unlimited budget), achieving success is impossible.
Working on both UK residential real estate as well as international projects (Spain & USA), I became and expert in driving traffic and converting visitors into homeowners.
I have advised residential real estate marketing on optimal web builds for performance, accounting for content delivered via feeds as well as optimising images and videos.
I have also produced comprehensive content plans to ensure localisation practices are included to generate meaningful traffic. I also used organic & paid social media tactics to drive leads to the website, using video assets to promote the brand on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
I have produced digital marketing for over ten industrial real estate clients, including the largest developer in Europe. In this network-based industry, digital marketing success doesn’t come from volumes, but from efficient targeting.
PR, advertisement & email are key channels for pushing the performance of these websites. Ideally, digital marketing activity should be supported with traditional marketing channels such as billboards, brochures & events.
Having worked with national solicitor firms, I got the chance not only to learn a lot about the law, but also what leads to good performance.
I developed content plans aimed at expanding websites and providing expertise in all areas of solicitor services. This has helped to gain rankings for short tail keywords. Extensive blog articles helped achieve rankings for longer tail keywords.
Localisation is also important in this industry, as national solicitors will need to have a local presence to meet customer demand.

It would be a great opportunity to apply what I learned from operating in the ecommerce and international arenas. I almost had the chance to work in the industry, but having already completed an audit & strategy, the project fell through at the last second. Still gutted about that.
Automotive
The automotive marketing space is one of the most interesting in digital right now. With manufacturers, trade dealers and private individuals all trying to sell a product as varied as a car, the sky is the limit.
It offers diverse opportunities for engaging content, targeted advertising, and data-driven strategies to reach and influence potential buyers throughout the entire customer journey.
SaaS
Working in SaaS is never easy, given the large competition in most sectors. However, this creates opportunities across all channels, and a solid Digital Marketing strategy is at the centre of all marketing activity. Being involved in projects where digital marketing is so important will definitely be worth the added complexities.
